- West Fork of the Pigeon River: Near nearby Waynesville, this river offers additional trout water and is popular for both fly fishing and is a free stone river.
- Deep Creek: A little farther away near Bryson City, Deep Creek provides excellent Smokies-style fly fishing, particularly for anglers seeking wild mountain trout in a more remote setting.
